CHARGING UNIT FOR TRANSLATION Translated text is charged on the basis of standard pages in the original text (if the original is in electronic form) so you will know the final price of translation when submitting the text. One standard translation page consists of 1,500 characters without spaces. Upon the client’s request, translation can also be charged per word. One standard page contains approximately 250 words (depending on the source/target language). The minimum translation unit is half a page.

ESTIMATED COST OF TRANSATION The price depends on the target language and on the difficulty of the text. Terminologically very specific texts are considered demanding. When we receive the text, we review it and assess the level of difficulty and anticipated scope. We will start translating after you have confirmed your order in writing.

DEADLINE The normal work time is a five-page translation into Slovene or a four-page translation into a foreign language per day. The days of acceptance and delivery, along with weekends and holidays, are not included. We cannot guarantee the quality of the translation of texts made if the client demands an inappropriately short deadline.

SHORT ADVERTISEMENTS Translation and editing of short advertisements is charged at twice the price for the translation/editing of a difficult text. Slogan translation and editing is charged at the price of translation/editing one difficult page of text.

URGENCY SURCHARGE – SUBJECT TO PREVIOUS AGREEMENT An urgency surcharge shall be charged in exceptional cases and subject to previous agreement with the client. The urgency surcharge accounts for 50% of the price quoted if the translator’s daily performance is increased by 30% and 100% of the price quoted in extreme cases, if the performance is increased by 60%.

PAYMENT TERMS
Legal entities: For new customers, a 50% advance payment shall be charged. The remaining 50% shall be charged after the delivery of translation with the value date of eight days. For our regular customers, a request in writing will suffice.
Natural persons: 50% of the estimated price is settled at the time of the request; the difference is to be paid after the delivery of translation.
